Time of past OR future Camino
Walking from 6th to 13th October 2017
Hi All

We are flying into Santiago de Compostela airport on Thursday 5th October and are going to get a Taxi/Car to Sarria. There are four of us so we will split it between us instead of going the bus route.
Is there any Car service or Taxi company that you would recommend booking?

Also, we are wondering what daily baggage collection company you would recommend using.

Thank you for your help.

Transport luggage-passengers.
From airports to SJPP
Luggage from SJPP to Roncevalles
Generally, you take the first taxi in the line at the airport. All the baggage services are about equal in the last section. Correos, the post office, is reliable, but so is JacoTrans. Each albergue will have envelopes for the services that serve them. Pick one!

I used Jacotrans for transport of my pack each day. It cost between 5-7 euros per day depending on the region and worked out great! The places you stay will have envelopes that you can fill out and attach to your bag. It's all very easy and well organized.

Thank you very much for the quick replies. I am getting a small bit excited now that we are nearly two weeks to starting!

I just returned home and i can say wholeheartedly that walking the Camino was one of the most wonderful experiences ever- you will see, the logistics and planning falls away and things just seem to settle into the simple rhythm of walking through landscapes, meeting kindred travelers and sharing stories. I've hardly unpacked and am already planning my next escape! Buen Camino!
