Time of past OR future Camino
plan to walk in may (2017)
I just recently returned from my first camino--Frances--and had the most amazing and incredible experience of my life. I was so worried and scared and TERRIFIED about going alone (female, 60 years old) but it was perfect, like it was meant to be. It could not possibly have been a better experience. It was absolutely magical.

Thank you to everyone on this forum for being so kind and helpful when I was making my preparations to go and asking for advice.

the most amazing and incredible experience of my life..... it was perfect, like it was meant to be. It could not possibly have been a better experience. It was absolutely magical.
But other than that, it really sucked eh?

In all seriousness, welcome home. Two more pieces of unsolicited advice if I may. First off, Post Camino Syndrome is a thing that hits some people. As far as I know, the only cure is planning your next....but the forum has plenty of fellowship and stories about this if you start to feel that aimless and longing feeling start to creep in. Secondly, if you DID get good advice, help, and support on this forum, you can return that kindness but offering your advice, help and support to new pilgrims in return.

Welcome Home! Don't give away your pack just yet.

So you made it Mo
I did look out for you at Orisson the evening of the 23rd of May , ''wild Einstein hair'' and all . I was concerned that you may have decided not to go .
So glad you had a great time .

hi charles, sorry, i'm so late in responding but i kept forgetting to log in! i read the daily emails "yesterday's new topics" but forget i'm not logged in. anyway, ya, that's amazing that you remembered to look for me. i have a brain much like a sieve and as soon as i got off the plane in paris, i forgot everything i was supposed to remember. anyway, i wish i had seen you at orisson. i did stop at orisson, but ended up there at 9 am and it was rainy and cool and i thought, "what am i going to do here all day?" and i had so much adrenaline going and i was so so excited that i decided (after much ado) to cancel my reservation and forge on ahead to roncesvalles. how was your camino?

definitely have post camino syndrome. so much has changed, yet nothing has...hmmm...and good idea, i will try to offer advice--still feel like a newbie though.

I had the most extraordinary time , something I will never forget . I continued to Finisterra ; something I promised myself I would do if I could .
I walked until I ran out of dirt .
