Looks like the first day of my first Camino in 2001, all the way down from Roncesvalles. Water shin-deep, ankle-high mud sucking the boots off our feet. Everything awful that happened after that could not compare. "At least it's not as bad as Day One!" I could tell myself.

As bad as walking the Ingles? Andy tells me horror stories about that walk but I wouldn't take his word for the time of day

Looks like they need to bring in one of the ferry boats that you have to take a few different times on the Norte.

I had the same thing on the Primitivio. I couldn't go around the 18 inch puddle because of the barbed wire for the adjacent pasture. Took my sneakers and socks off and wadded through in February!

from yesterday's Irish Times... and the commentary in the little video would be hilarious if not so true. Little consolation - in fact none, for you, Paladina.

Thanks, Kirkie. At least I have a pair of waders, the house is still dry, and I’m blessed with a postman who goes the second mile (on foot) to make a special delivery to my door!
