This is wonderful ... Love it!! His enthusiasm and energy is uplifting ... So looking forward to my first Camino in just over 4 weeks timeA pilgrim friend just sent me a link to this video on Facebook. Watching this is the closest I have felt to walking the camino since I walked into Santiago at the end of May. I forgot to sync my iPhone with my music so had very few tunes to listen to, but this as one of them and it certainly put a skip in my step. You can't help but love this. And for those of you who have yet to walk your first camino - this is what it feels like - enjoy!
@Jabaldo , the video was posted to youtube on 22 April this year, but no indication of when it was recorded. It looks like spring.Does anyone know when this video was taken? .
Better than the Vino tinto Jenny that's only good for a little while, not for the rest of the day Eh?Hi Maggie -
Great thread and a great song! I love this really cool Pharrell Williams song - 'have done for a while now.
Last month, in the pilgrim souvenir shop just a few doors down from Hotel Gaudi in Astorga, I had my own, completely fantastic "Happy" occurrence!
I walked into the shop and heard the song playing but couldn't see anyone about. I then noticed two staffers at the back of the shop dancing the "Happy" dance - clapping hands and bopping around, and they waved me over to join them! I did and we all danced around doing the "Happy" dance until the song finished! I couldn't get the smile off my face for the rest of the day!
Pharrell's magic with this song stretches far and wide.
Cheers - Jenny
This was wonderful song for me to listen to. Thank you for posting it.What a fab story Jenny - I can just picture the scene. I listened to this a lot on the camino this year - I only had about five tunes on my phone - it was such a tonic for sad aching feet.
I also learned to love this tune along the way - by the artist Israel Kamakawiwo'ole who I only discovered after reading a thread on this forum (and a huge thank you to whoever posted that). He brightened up many a slog along the cobbles - even got me swirling my poles once or twice! If you aren't familiar with this (sadly now deceased) artist look him up on youtube - he has the voice of an angel.

We love IZ and "our" song for motivating each other when it gets a bit tough is going to be IZ singing "Starting Over Again". I have put a link to that somewhere on the forum. What a fab story Jenny - I can just picture the scene.
