My name is Tim Byron and I am 31 year old Jesuit currently studying theology in Madrid, at the Pontifical University of Comillas. I am English, a member of teh British Province and originally from Liverpool.
I have been here in Spain for 10 months now and expect to be hear for another year. One of the highlights has been discovering the camino... i have been fortunate enough to have walked it 3 times now in the last six months. THe first two times only from Lugo, firstly in December with four other Jesuits. ALso in April with guiding a group of young adults from London.
ANd i have just spent two weeks accompanying a parish group of 35 confirmation candidates and catechists from Madrid walking along the camino primitivo from Oveido. Beautiful path, and i was priveleged to be asked to preach on the feast day of St James.... in Sobrade de los Monjes.
My experiences have lead me to start compiling a series of guided meditations of St.James to be used by future pilgrims. I would be interested to know if such a resource has been published before.
