Too hot for vikings

Well, in Norway, september usually is not more than 10 degrees. The 40 degrees on the Meseta struck me like lightning !
After four days in the purgatory, I desided to take the bus to Sahagun, skipping two days of walking. And pray for a miracle in the form of a cool breeze......................

To all fellow pilgrims in the heat (except the ones who thrive in the heat) - take care, drink a lot, wear a hat, and stop in the rare shade 8)

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
New Original Camino Gear Designed Especially with The Modern Peregrino In Mind!
LOL Liv

I'm in Logroño today and since SJPdP have met quite a few Danes who have all suffered terribly from the heat.

But in fairness, I live in Rome which is quite a hot and humid city and was still unprepared for this hot weather in September.

And I haven't hit the meseta yet...!!

Thank goodness the weather has now cooled down. Even walking in the rain is preferable to being baked alive.

Buen camino
