The Canadian Company of Pilgrims -Toronto Chapter- will be hosting their regular 2010 fall meeting on Saturday November 6th at St. Matthews United Church (729 St Clair Ave West Toronto). Starting time is 1:30 and everyone is welcome. Parking is very limited so please consider the TTC. Applications for membership and credential requests can be completed prior to the start of the 2 ½ hour meeting.
The meeting should be very exciting and informative. Basil Coward has agreed to be our theme speaker and MEC will have a short presentation on Camino outerwear. The pilgrims’ photo display was a great success during the spring meetings and we are again looking for those interested in displaying their photographs. see below. Also during the coffee break we are also looking for (4-5) pilgrims to display there complete Camino gear (Basically pack as they did on their pilgrimage)…see below. 1:40pm Basil Coward will speak. In spring 2009 Basil walked the Camino, beginning in Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, to Santiago de Compostela. This earthy pilgrimage continues to be a life transforming experience for him. He is engaged in critical reflection and writing around this journey. Basil is an enthusiastic, motivated and visionary educator, minister, community leader and advocate, who describes himself as an enquiring guide and life leader. In addition, he is currently at work on a book of short stories.
2:10pm MEC Outwear for the Camino…”function over fashion”
2:25pm Break – “Photo Display” and “What I brought on the Camino - good and bad” (see special request-below)
3:00pm- Panel Discussion (Q&A as time permits)

NUMBER ONE - Camino Photographs- As part of the “coffee break” portion of the meeting, we are requesting 4-5 pilgrims bring their Camino photographs and display them during the break time. If you are interested in showing your photographs please contact Patrick at torontocamino@rogers.com for more details.
NUMBER TWO - Pack for the Camino- The biggest question novice pilgrims have is “What do I pack?” “What do I pack it in?” “What is good and what is best?”… In an attempt to assist novice and experienced pilgrims we a looking for 4-5 pilgrims to “Pack for the Camino” that is bring everything they had on the Camino to the fall meeting. During the coffee break each pilgrim will display the contents of their packs…showing “the good, the bad, and the ugly”
NUMBER THREE - Again, a collection for the St. Mathew’s parish food bank will be collected. If you can spare - please share.
