I intended to start walking to finisterre and Muxia today, but I’ve listened to my body and taken a rest day in Santiago (dodgy knee!)

I still want to complete the trip, but to do so on the final morning i’m considering getting a bus or a taxi from Muxia to Lavacolla in order to reach the airport for my 10.30am flight.

The bus apparently leaves Muxia at 6.45am, arrives Santiago bus station at 8.20am. How reliable is the bus time wise? I’m concerned it could be cutting it a bit fine...

And are direct taxis available? Does anyone know approx the price if so?

I’d appreciate any help you might be able to offer

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
From experience the bus is very reliable but yes it does seem to be cutting it a bit fine, as presumably after arriving in SdC at 8.20 you will then have to get to the airport.
I’m sure you can get a direct taxi. From memory I think I’ve seen prices of €60 quoted on here from Muxia to Santiago...but don’t quote me on that.
If you do chose to get the bus from Muxia make sure you are there promptly as there tends to be a merry queue of Peregrinos waiting

Rome2rio usually gives taxi quotes

Maybe get taxi from Santiago de Compostela? Buses arrive on time in my experience

If running late you could get off at Negreira and taxi from there—bigger town and more available
