Time of past OR future Camino
El Camino de Santiago
My husband and I commenced our Camino in SJPP on April 12 2016. We spent our first night in Valcarlos. Whilst there, we met 2 elderly Spanish gentlemen. One of them suffered some nasty injuries when he slipped over at the front door. We administered First Aid but he then had to be transported to Logrono for further medical checks. His friend continued with his journey and had planned to meet up with him in Logrono. At times we walked together. He spoke no English and we spoke very little Spanish. After a couple of days we stopped seeing each other. Unfortunately our Camino was cut short in Burgos when we had to return to Australia as a family member had become very ill. I would love to know how this gentleman got on as well as any other pilgrims who may have been on the road at that time. Thinking I would run into fellow travellers all the way to Santiago, I hadn't yet collected names and contacts...my regret. I am writing this now because had all gone to plan, we would have arrived back in Oz yesterday.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
