Currently in Fontanillas de Castro after walking 4 days since I started in Salamanca.
The weather has been fantastic sunny without being too hot. The forecast is looking reasonable too. Excess water on the paths here from the wet weather earlier mostly gone.
No problems with diversions for new roads or train tracks so far. All clearly signed. Looks like a few km has been added to route. A few times the junta signs have differed from the usual camino signs in which case I followed the usual signage with no issues.
The Salamanca albergue is currently open from 12-1 to drop bags and then from 4pm. The Zamora albergue currently does not open till 2:30 pm. The Albergue Casa Susa at Huelmos is great with the sweetest woman running it.
So far there has been a lot of walking near the highway and navigating road junctions. Apart from that nice easy walking on quiet flat dirt tracks. This section of the path is really quiet at the moment. I have only met up with other walkers on the path a couple of times. There have been 5-6 walkers in the albergues at night, mostly the same set so far. Tonight I thought I had the albergue to myself until one other guy turned up at about 6:30.
