Villa Conde to Main Route?

Time of past OR future Camino
Camino Frances 2014 & 2017
Camino Portuguese 2016
Camino Del Norte 2019.
I have been looking at Brierley and I am a bit confused, what is the best way to rejoin the main route? There is a path to Rates via the Aquaduct and another one through Arcos?

The main route is via Ponte Rio Este, Junqueira and Arcos. It is well-marked.
