I’m flying into San Sebastián (Donostia) airport Monday morning to begin the Camino del Norte from Irún on Tuesday. It looks like it is possible to walk from the airport to the new albergue, a distance of less than 2 km. Has anyone actually done this? Safe walking conditions? Thank you.

I did it last year, though I didn’t stay in the albergue but went more into the center of town. It was totally safe, all on separated paths. Buen camino, Laurie

Thank you, Laurie. I’ve read your blogs and have saved many of your replies to this forum, including the coastal alternatives. I appreciate your dedication to sharing your (17?) Camino experiences.
