camino frances, fall 2012, planning aragones spring 2013
Greetings, I walked 2/3 of Camino Frances last fall and am thinking of walking the entire route this spring. Has anyone walked the Camino during this time? If so, could you share your experience regarding weather, road conditions and availability of cafes, bars and lodgings (albuerged or refugios). Many thanks.
A very grateful pilgrim.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
It is a quiet, enjoyable time on the Camino Frances. There are enough other pilgrims, and accommodations are open in the larger places. Smaller villages may have albergues that do not open until April. Food and beverage were readily available. It may rain, or it may be dry! We had snow a couple of times, but nothing arctic. Gloves were very useful in the morning.

Hello there Anita!

There are some other threads on the forum regarding walking the camino in march (or in winter).

I, myself, am going to start walking on march the 2nd from SJPP and from what I have learned with all the nice people on this forum is exactly what falcon just said!

You won't be alone, but you'll probably have a quieter time walking when comparing with other busier months!

I hope we are all going to be fine and dandy!!

Buen Camino!

Thank you all. Your comments, leads and advice are most appreciated. From my 1 Camino experience, I know that the Camino and its angels will get me through. Your good cheers are just the ticket to push the nervousness (from the unknowns) back. I am off to reading your suggested blogs.
All love,
anit
