Weather on Camino Ingles in July? Too hot?

Hi! Looking to walk the Camino Ingles in the beginning of July this year (2022). Has anyone done this and what is the weather like around this time? I have read mixed reviews - some say too hot in June/July and others say OK because Galicia is cooler and its near the coast. I am from Australia (so used to the heat) but don't want it to be unbearable! Appreciate any views! Thanks!

Being in Galicia, the nearby ocean moderates the temperatures very nicely. I walked the Inglés in early August 2019 and it was never hotter than low-80’s F (30 C). Buen Camino!

If you are used to heat, you will be fine. It can be hot, or wet, or cool. Dress appropriately and you will be fine. Some days it can be like a deluge. Fortunately, the right type of rain gear can help you to laugh your way through five hours of it!

Hi Alex, you may find it helpful to have a look on the 'Holiday Weather' website for the climate averages for these months. I think it will depend on what you are used to really.

Personally, I prefer to start walking early in the morning when it is cool and crisp, particularly on longer days when the heat builds up throughout the day.
