What Blooms in the Spring on the C. Portuguese?

A question for anyone who has done the Caminho Potuguese in the spring. Is there much colorful plant life -- tree blossoms, flowers, etc.? I will be trekking it mid-April through mid-May and am trying to decide whether to pack my macro lens and tripod.

I walked from Porto last April and saw: wysteria, azaleas, roses, calla lilies, and lots of yellow and purple wildflowers. There were other flowers as well but I don't know the names. A lot of the people's houses that we passed had gardens with beautiful flowers(especially on the Portuguese side of the route) as well as flowers out in the wild.

That sounds delightful. Add some of the rain I expect for spring, and I should have some great macro opportunities along the way.
