Where to start organising my Credecial?

I'm in the process of planning my Camino (St. Jean - Santiago), to be commenced mid September 2012.

First things first, how do I go about organising a pilgrims Credential?

I'm in Australia, so who do I need to contact to organise this?

Thanks

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
Hi.

You can just get one from the pilgrims office in St Jean Pied de Port when you arrive.

Buen Camino!

Check out the Camino group based in Adelaide, I think they can issue a credential. Otherwise, it is possible to get one issued in SAPP.

Regards

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

€60,-
It is always good to have one from your own country...but the one issued on the Camino is also good..but limited in number of spaces for sellos (stamps).
A good idea would be to get the one in OZ and then get one in SJPP for backup in case you fill up the OZ passport.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
For anyone in the U.S. that would like to arrive with pilgrim passport in hand:

americanpilgrims.com

Click on "Request a Credential".

I believe it was $5US or donation when I got mine in '10.

There is also a link to other associations from various countries around the world.

Keep a smile,
Simeon

Ian, I ordered Credentials for my wife and I last weekend, via this site, and received them today - many thanks. One question - on the inside cover, where you fill in your information, it says Fecha (date) then 'A favor de' and 'DNI' what do these mean?

Andrew.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Hi Andrew. Where it says "A favor de" just write your name or your wife's. It means "Issued to". Where it says "DNI" write your passport or ID card number. DNI is the Spanish achronym for "Documento Nacional de Identidad" (National Identification Document). Buen camino.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
