Time of past OR future Camino
Planning to do about 2 weeks of the camino starting around the 10th of September.
Hi all! I am starting the camino around the 10th of September for two weeks or so. I will already be in spain (almeria) where i can get a bus and wondering where to start, St. Jean Pied de Port ? or to start somehere in the middle like burgos? its more about the journey for me than the destination and just want to enjoy the scenery. Please help!

Hi jessica. If you start in St Jean, then you'd get some nice varied scenery. You could get to Burgos in 2 weeks comfortably. If you start from Burgos you'll have the Meseta for about a week straight away. Quite flat. And then a week into the hills. If you want to get a compostela in Santiago then you could start in Leon. Should take 2 weeks comfortably. Busy from Sarria onwards though. Depends what your after most.

St Jean to Burgos is beautiful with lots of variety and happy, enthusiastic people sharing the same new experience. You will most likely be back to walk the rest of the way sometime in the near future. :)

Buen Camino!

Hi! If you are interested in scenery and are in Almería anyway, would you consider the Camino Mozárabe across Andalucía? I walked it in April from Almería to Mérida via Granada and Córdoba but you can also start in Málaga.
