Where to stay

can anyone recommend anywhere to stay after c. Baleira. If we walk to castroverde it will be 10km to walk, then 22km to Lugo. I would like to take the two days for this and wondered if there was anywhere to stay around Castroverde even if we have to go a couple of km off track? Would like our own room and love rural.

I know there is an albergue at Castroverde which looks good, but just feel we could walk a few more km to shorten day to Lugo, as would like more time in Lugo before we have to leave the next morning early.

The walk into Lugo and tedious, with nothing around that I can remember.

TrekRight shows no accommodations in those 14K before Lugo. Nothing off-track on the map. Inquire at Castroverde?

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

€60,-
Think we will stick to original plan and walk 10km to Castroverde and stay at albergue. Then early start to reach Lugo in good time. Only 6 weeks to go, getting excited.

There's a chirch on your way to Castroverde that is well worth a visit. When I was there there was a volunteer explaining its history and architecture.

Hi. In Castroverde there is a pension (Pensión Cortés) where you can take a private room; its in town though, not in rural surrounding. I think there are no more options for private lodging in Castroverde or further ahead towards Lugo.
