The New York Times edition of 24 May, 2015, has a short reportage on 4 APPS for mapping your walking routes; some are free others for purchase. Both iOS and Android versions are mentioned. Perhaps one of these might be handy for mapping a training hike or even the cumulative days on a camino.

I've found Endomondo quite useful and accurate last year on Madrid & Invierno. I'll use it this year on Levante & Sanabres too. But it's just "a recorder" of GPS track for me since I don't want a machine telling me where to go
