Z-pack tents

Kiwi-family

{Rachael, the Mama of the family}
Time of past OR future Camino
walking every day for the rest of my life
Having walked a few camino paths now I understand it is NOT necessary to take a tent. However, we are looking at doing some overnight hiking here in NZ and I dream of tackling some of the European long distance trails and a tent would minimize expenses.
So......does anyone have experience with Z-pack tents? They are certainly not the cheapest option but do seem to be the lightest by a long shot - and relatively roomy. I'll appreciate any info you can share. Thanks.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
We have their packs and their jackets. There is no way the tents will be anything but top notch. If you don't like it, they will give you a full refund. Classy company that actually uses the stuff they sell.

I like z pack, been a sea to summit person. Like the solo or duo three season. Having a tent that can.be etected with trekking poles is a bonus.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

€60,-
I remember looking at the tents and finding this guy, who spent months in one:

So they obviously stand up well to actual usage, despite being so light - that was my main concern. Thanks for your feedback. Very helpful and most encouraging. (I had been considering a tarptent, but these are even lighter)

I have a tarp tent. Not bad, light, but I must say I don't love the thing

I spent some time last year hiking in New Zealand with a tarp tent (borrowed) with ventilation at the ends only. It was light-weight and fairly spacious, but only one night (camping at Whakapapa) when there was a breeze blowing through was there no condensation on the inside. Ventilation is the first thing that I consider when I acquire a tent.
