Holding Hands Along the Way

Whilst I do not remember this loving couple I do remember this section of the Camino - even to having ridden my bike up that hill!!

@Saint Mike II - There certainly had a different experience that I did. Maximum respect to those on bikes. Especially on those windy, rainy and muddy days.

Its the section of the Camino that follows the highway between Calzadilla and Ledigos. I cycled it in 2015; in 2017 my camino daughter and I took the alternate route - saw two other pilgrims,

Hey Mike,

Thanks for the info. I sort of forgot where it was.

BTW - any chance you will be out there this year? I leave on April 23 and should arrive in Santiago on May 24.

Buen Camino,

Dennis

Hola Dennis - no unfortunately I have some surgery due at the end of May and then off to Japan in Oct. May be on the Porto with my brother starting in Sept 2020.

Mike -

Hope the surgery goes well and allows you to get back out there soon.

I will be thinking about you, especially when I start going down the hill into Molinaseca. That is the one leg of the Camino where I always wish that I was riding a bicycle.

Best wishes,

Dennis

Hola @Dennis D thanks for the wishes. Yes that descent from the Cruz de Ferro is a no win situation. The camino track is very difficult the road is a mixed bag, in places it dangerous.
