Dunno if I would characterize the Camino as a 6 week "Break" or not. Kind of compares it to two weeks in a resort in Florida. For me it was much, much more than that. I expect that you, like many others will find this too. When I got back, lots of friends asked me about my "Break", and I was unable to think about it along those lines. I am not trying to scare or scold you here.....you will understand when you get back that this is a truly unique experience. Its not always fun - its not always comfortable - its not very relaxing. But for most, it is a memorable experience that allows them to take home a fresh perspective on their own life. Many build close and rewarding relationships with their fellow pilgrims that endure. I did not speak to anyone in Santiago that was not glowing from having done it, although there was one woman who had a stress fracture in her foot, and was looking forward to some time off her feet.
Sounds like you have done all the planning you really need to do. I hope your shoes are well broken in, and you have made friends with your backpack. You're in for the trip of your life. Enjoy it all.
