The best transport for your luggage isJacotrans,
Tony, have you seen Jacotrans in the Portuguese? I thought they only did Frances!

Ali: I didn't need daily services, but used Tuitrans to take a suitcase from Porto straight to Santiago (they kept it in storage until the day I arrived. Service was good, easy to book and affordable. I saw a lot of pilgrims using them for daily backpack transport, so I'd recommend it! :)

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Hi, can you tell me What are the average costs for backpack transport?

In early 2017, Tuitrans was charging 7 euro per piece (suitcase/backpack) per stage (around 20km). Other companies where working around that price as well. I was there in April, so it may have changed a bit.

Hi
Jacotrans operates between Roncesvalles and Santiago only. They do not operate on the Camino Portugués.

Tuitrans operates between Porto and Santiago only, on all the routes: the Central, the Coastal and the Variante Espiritual.

For luggage transfer between Lisbon and Porto contact the hostels in Tomar and Santarém directly, as they may be able to help you.
