I have walked the camino de Santiago last September, and to say the least, a life changing experience. I have been bitten by the bug and plan to walk from Florence to Assisi and then to Rome, I have thousands of questions and would love to chat with someone who has completed the trek. If there are any takers, please email me, my email is collegesavsplus@msn.com or feel free to respond here. Thank you.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Sandy Brown has published an excellent Cicerone Guide titled The Way of St Francis: Via di Francesco: From Florence to Assisi and Rome which is available in hard copy and on Kindle. He updates it very well at the Cicerone website. His website, Caminoist.org, also has a lot of information, and he is very generous with advice if you post questions. We found him to be an outstanding resource.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Due to length restraints, I’ve had to to split the story into two posts. I find it no longer ‘flows’. I suggest reading Part 1 again, link below, before reading Part 2. Regards Gerard Part 1 link...
