@Thomas1 , this is turning into an excellent thread for those looking to walk shorter distances on the Primitivo. If you can continue to add the names of the places that you sleep each night (and perhaps the distance?) this could be a very...

@LeJaMa , firstly, welcome to the forum! Trail runners are ideal. The Primitivo is only 320kms long, they should last well and then some. The terrain is nicely mixed, more trails than roads until nearer the end. Make sure you walk in them for a...

      2. Day - Escamplero to Grado. A bit chilly in the morning, but at 11:00 the sun comes out and it's a beautiful day from then on. It's a short walk, although the first half makes me sweating. From Paladin on is it 'a walk in the park', along the...

No. This is only as far as Melide, you have to add another two days to get to SdC (according to Gronze). So 13 days is the correct answer. I did it in 14 days last year, including a rest day in Logo (that I did not need).

Getting out of Oviedo last April was not easy! I am looking forward to your posts. Buen Camino!

Hi all! Started today from Oviedo to Escamplero. Now I know, why so many people say it's a bit of a challenge to come out of Oviedo. I got lost just once, but was rescued by a very friendly guy. A short, but beautiful walk by great weather...

      This is the correct answer.

Can I turn this? I’ll turn this. The most dangerous place on the Camino Frances, or any other Camino, is the gap between expectation and reality. Many have fallen there. Yes there are places where the footing is a bit challenging and there are...
