Personally I would choose the Hokas as waterproof boots/ shoes take a long time to dry out and if it rains heavy you feet will get wet no matter what you wear
Ahhh. That's sad for Fromista and for the pilgrims. Your albergue is a wonderful place. I only stayed once but loved it. It's rare to have such a good pilgrim atmosphere in a private albergue.
