I was the fashion disaster on my Camino. Pink and purple hiking shoes that were wrapped in plastic bags with multicoloured electrical tape, black runners tights, light blue Nike top, red rain jacket UNDER a neon lime green trainers jacket. Paws and claws unpainted and cut short. Not a stitch...
Congrats!! And WOW you are fast!
Great to hear flooding has gone, perhaps I should go back there. I am known to have mystical powers to bring out the worst in Mother Nature whereever I go (was in Japan for 2011 tsunami, New York for the record blizzard and heat waves, London for the snowstorm...
I have no idea what Bla Bla car is, I was just putting it out there that I had a car and if anyone needed transport I'd have been happy to do it.
As for the shell, the one I had was not important to me. The agency sent it to me halfway through my Camino and I never used it, as there were...
I will send it to you by PM.
The weather was very very wet, it rained all but the first 3 days and the last. I have a thread on 'live on the Camino' and my blog describes it as well.
It's very unpredictable though, I will keep my fingers crossed that you have sunny skies! :-)
Bom Caminho
I have all three that I would like to pass on to a new pilgrim. The agency had sent them to me halfway through my Camino and I didn't need them by that point.
Doesn't matter where in the world you are, just pm me your information and I will post them out to you before I leave Spain tomorrow.
I am in Finisterre now after having started from Porto on coastal and then turned to the central route from Vila do Conde. i can't advise on accommodation for the coastal, but would be happy to send you the list of which hotels I stayed in on the central.
There was no question about doing it alone, it was something I had to do. The Camino Portugues is not very heavily traveled and except for the last 6km, I didn't see anyone else. (Actually there was a school group just before ponte do Lima, but they stopped because of the flooding). I question...
Seth, I kinda 'winged it' too after my agency left me down and I had to go it alone. I would love to pass my shell onto someone who is winging it as well. :-)
I just came off the Camino Portugues and am finishing off in Finsterre and Muxia before i leave Spain. :-)
Offer still open, I am in Finsterre now and will drive to Muxia tomorrow.
The CykaUJ taxi and luggage transport has space for both luggage and/or pilgrims. Would love the company! :-)
Also, I would love to pass on my shell and Brierley's (Camino Portugues) to a first time pilgrim, if anyone...
@Lucio Cassia I took this picture, not HalfDomeOrBust, and it's on the Camino Portugues. If you are on that Camino, you can go either direction, but the original camino is on the left.
