On the Sarria-Santiago walk, you’ll find enough places to stamp to fill your entire credencial, if you so choose. Churches are a nice place to stop, contemplate, and get a stamp and prayer card.

No matter the season, I take a lightweight down sleeping bag that I cut the hood and zipper out of, so it's like a blanket with a footbox. I've used it in late autumn, early spring, and even in June.

I've learned I need 'long' underwear due to chaffing and heat rash, briefs are good for 5 or 6 km but anything longer...long underwear!
