I was caught short and needed a “wild wee” ( and yes, I do take my loo paper away with me). I was on a slight incline with my back facing down instead of up. Lost my balance and ended up on my back like a turtle. I couldn’t right myself, but did...

Hello. In October last year I flew in on the late flight from Stansted and it was almost 5 hours late. I was booked into Miradorio De Belvis. They have a 24 hour reception desk and a late check out, I think either 11.00 or 12.00 as well as...

Definitely get a stamp at Lires. We had a delightful night stop there. Because we walked onto Muxia on the Sunday and had to catch a bus to SdeC that evening we didn't stay at a Muxia albergue. We asked for the certificate at a couple of...

Agree with all the comments above. However you can get certificates at Finistere and Muxia just for having walked those sections. Apply to the local tourist offices at each town. Of course you need credentials plus all the sellos. Buen camino

You can request a Compostela from the Pilgrims Office if you can demonstrate that you have walked either from Muxia via Fisterra to Santiago or Fisterra via Muxia to Santiago. A Credencial with a minimum of two stamps per day is required. The...

I was just poking through YouTube tonight, looking for anything interesting to watch, and I happened upon this beautiful familiar face, Hospitalera Marina! In 2006, on our first Camino, Joe and I stayed at San Anton. The hospitalera was...
