Thankyou Helen - puzzle solved. I am giving a talk for Probus on my trip and just wanted to be positive I had the names right. Wish I had picked up the brochure. I think I was travelling light and mean!!!
All I can say is - you lot are brilliant and thank you so so much. I sat in the church and meditated. It was beautiful. One of those rare moments on the camino. Beautiful space for contemplation. I neglected to get the literature on these remarkable sentient beings. Now I am giving a talk at...
Can anyone tell me the names of the 16 (left to right) 'saints' 'remarkable beings' on the church wall at Hontanos.
Excuse my ignorance but I can only name 4 with certainty.
Ivar - you have answered my Question that I have just posted elsewhere on this forum. Perhaps you could suggest the best way to pack some gear that I want to have available post Camino. I am intending to post from SJPDP to your luggage storage facility late Sept with pick up mid Nov. I had...

Thanks for that. I will enquire at the private albergues. Not travelling until Sept/Oct but thought I would start looking at places not to miss n the way.
I am on a budget (read - good value / cheap ) but will be requiring stopovers at Pamplona, Burgos, Leon, Santiago (and who knows where else) of more than one night which means an albergue is out. So: Do I move from one albergue to another - NOT IDEAL - or how do I investigate good value options...
Been offline for a while so pleased to see this question posted as I too was wondering. I have read the replies. My situation is that I have achilles tendonitis which I am managing well but I cannot afford at the end of the day to wear lightweight sandals without support and crocs are for me the...
Thanks for the info. Appreciated. I am on a budget in that I have already bought a new pack as my usual pack I use for bushwalking/tramping is too heavy and my other sleeping bag is too bulky. I feel I am duplicating gear I already have for this Camino but I do realise that I have to travel...
