My take away from this is positive. According to all the statistics quoted in this thread doing the Camino is Good for you! You are much less likely to die on the Camino than off it. The numbers speak for themselves.

My wife and I are in our 60’s and we did it without any fear or worry. There is always a good path and you never feel that you’re close to the edge. If I remember someone recently posted a short stage Primitivo on this forum, with 15-20Km stages...
The real take away from this is for all to make sure you are health insured while travelling. Provided you’re using a reputable company, which Allianz is, you will get paid sooner or later. Good luck with your knee, and hope it’s not too painful.
