Have you checked air b and b . My son and I start walking from Porto on 5th May so you will be ahead as I am a slow walker. But were doing the spiritual and I found it’s difficult to find accommodation in Arnenteiera but found this a place just about a km from the monestary. Otherwise a taxi...

    Running last 100kms

Wonder if this was same chap I had dinner with in Ventosa in 2015. He was an Italian fireman, I think running it for charity, His heels were bleeding by then (wish he handnt felt it necessary to show us at dinner table 😖) but he was determined to go on.

There's a very small charge - cost of a cafe con leche. I found that well worth it for the reassurance of the gps, and on the occasions when I had drifted off route it showed me exactly where I was and how to get back on track.

St. Jean to Burgos - One day to skip

Agree with above suggestion of skipping last day into Burgos so you could go back and start from where you left off the next time. Wouldn't have wanted to miss the last day myself. The view on good day overlooking Burgos, still quite a few hours away, was one I'll remember. Sorry you didn't...

    APP for iPhone

There are number of apps for iPhone. The one I used most last year when I walked from St Jean to Santiago was TrekRight. Good GPS mapping so when I was unsure wether Id missed a turn I could check. Also Wise Pilgrim Guide is an alternative app with GPS mapping. And downloading Brierleys guide...

LIVE from the Camino Live from the Camino Muxia-Fisterra-Santiago

Have used gps on the wise pilgrim app and also the TrekRight app for reassurance when occasionally unsure on the Camino Frances. Also the list of accommodations was useful for planning stages and booking ahead as I went. I did from SJdPP to Santiago in May-June this year and have caught the...
