I have a question about carrying my backpack on the plane.
I will be walking the Camino in August/September. I will leave from Dulles and am wondering if it is possible to take my backpack and poles as carry on luggage? Please give me any pointers about this as I would really like to have my backpack and poles with me. Thanks Jerry- mockjf

Starting my pilgrimage in August, 2016
I had planned on starting my Camino on 28 August. Now, I may need to be at a function in the states on 1 Oct, so am debating about starting on 12 August. Can you help me sort out the pros and cons?
