NMaybe it depends on the country you live in. Last year I bought insurance from AXA for a two month trip. @lt56ny lives in Mexico, and if I recall, he buys insurance from Mapfre.

I don’t know if they offer coverage to non-US, but I have used them for years and the annual pricing qoute pops right up when I enter, policy type and my name, age & ZIP code.
