Hi All,
Finally I'm back into Camino planning mode after two years of pandemic originated stays at home. Now I'm looking into the Salvador to walk around 18th of July in 5 or 6 days from León to Oviedo. In Oviedo I will connect with my son and consequently we will do the Primitivo together to...
Ah ha thanks whariwharangi for clarifying, I just showed a screenshot of the location Aperture, the photo program, gave me. I have no idea about decimal or minute system. In Aperture it is automatically tight to the map, easy as I like it ;)
David, according to Google Maps it is here: http://goo.gl/maps/CfwiR near Camino Cirueña, Santo Domingo de la Calzada, La Rioja. Have a look at the street view and you see more or less your picture, taken in the same time of the year.
Quite recognizable and not easily understood. As you said @Poshlloyd there is a matter of tolerance for the way other people experience their Camino. Unfortunately I experienced in the same period as @Magwood (Hi Maggie) that tolerance is not always a two-way street.
I have just returned from my Camino from St Jean-Pied-de-Port to Santiago and on to Finisterre and Muxia. In preparation for the Camino I have considered this question a lot and decided not to bring my Canon 5D with zoom lens that equals 1,5 kilogram. Instead I brought the new Canon EOS M (only...
I am surprised by your response @wawpdx as it certainly is not an April Fools post at all. It is a serious project as you will have seen when you checked the link to my website.
My book is on sale even before it is written! Through a crowdfunding model I am selling "The Camino Experience" as it will be written after I have walked to Santiago this year. That brings a challenge for the reader/buyer, as they will not know what they buy. It may be about the Camino, it may...
Ramon, I haven't booked my way back to Amsterdam yet. Looked into the possibilities and noticed that Vueling offers a reasonable priced flight from Santiago via Barcelona to Amsterdam. About the same price as my TGV/Night train ticket to SJPdP. Will book it once I am in Santiago as only then I...
I am commencing my Camino in two weeks and although it is still unusual cold in The Netherlands and seems to be raining in Spain I tell everyone that I am prepared for rain but won't need the gear as I will have nice weather. Hope St James will honor that statement too :D
For me coming from Amsterdam through Paris and Bayonne the train turned out to be the most convenient route. Maybe that will work from Toulouse too, see the SNCF website: http://www.sncf.com/en/passengers
Exciting times: Only two weeks till my departure! On the 15th of April I will arrive in St. Jean-Pied-de-Port to commence with the Camino on the next day. Anyone here also starting that day?
