I have been advised to carry a thermolite fleece liner as I’m walking Norte in high summer and better as an anti bed bug product. Is this true?

I think I'm generally 'inspired' to walk a Camino by the Emotional and Spiritual 'freedom' that I know I will enjoy. Being away from day to day pressures and responsibilities. But the physical? Yes it's a major part of the attraction. I'm not...

For me, it’s a bit hard to articulate, but it has to do with testing myself and my ability to deal with hardship. I expect to be tired, hungry, cold, hot, miserable, wet, under all kinds of weather conditions, which for some reason is exactly why...

PhilB replied to the thread Backpack is 2 kg too heavy TwT.
As someone who suffers from chaffing and done many treks including in humid tropical areas, protection under walking pants is essential. Couple of options - quarter length silk stockings or thigh length tight hugging underwear. Both are much...

Then go slow, it's not a race. :) I'm not sure where you get the 25 kms from. Many of the Guidebooks seem to suggest 'stages' that are way too far for me to walk comfortably. My average is probably 20 kms a day once I warm up. My first few...

What's your source for the 25 km per day? What does counting kilometers say? I mean, if your counting kilometers, or speed, you might be in the wrong place. :)

25 km per day is a comfortable pace for me and is what I use when calculating how much time I will need for my Camino. Some days are longer, a few are shorter. It's all about what works best for you.

I'm not sure what type of explanation you are looking for, as there should be no need to defend this distance or any other! ;) If a normal walking speed is about 3-5 km/h, and you are willing to walk for 6 hours, you will cover about 18-30 km...
