A Video of my Camino in 2013

Thanks roblsch! I added the songs I used to my first post in case you're interested. I love to listen to music while hiking, especially on the harder bits. There have been quite a few times where I thought I was too exhausted to go on, then I listened to some songs and when the right one came...

A Video of my Camino in 2013

Robo: I know, but I want to leave this video as it is. It's how I've been remembering the Camino for the past 2 years and it'd feel weird to change it up now, and I'd prefer to record myself talking about the Camino while actually walking it, so I'll definitely do that on my second journey to...

A Video of my Camino in 2013

Hey CaminoDebrita & Robo, yep, you're completely right, I should talk more! I tried it out in a recent video of my journey through Nepal/Indonesia and I really liked it, so it's something I'll be doing in the future, but since this video was made 2 years ago it lacks a bit of story. The initial...

A Video of my Camino in 2013

It has been more than 2 years since I walked the Camino de Santiago from SJPDP to Finisterre. It was the first time that I was travelling on my own, and I was terrified. I didn't know whether I'd be able to make friends, whether I was physically up to it and whatnot, but there was also this...

    A Video about my Camino

I walked the Camino de Santiago all the way from SJPDP and even walked on to Finisterre in June 2013. Ever since that amazing experience my love for adventure has grown, but I haven't been able to add any new travelling experiences to the mix. On the 1st of June 2014 (exactly 1 year after I...

My stages for the Camino Frances in 23 days

Wow, I felt broken when I started on my second day from Roncesvalles. To walk 46.2 km on that day would have been an impossible task for me (well, impossible is nothing, but it would have been very hard). I only reached the 45 km twice during my entire Camino. But if you set your mind to it...

allmost gave up on the camino today

I saw one of those! Luckily, a man walked by, picked it up and safely put it back into the bushes, right next to the water. I don't know what I would've done if someone just killed it.

Looking for a photo of the camino that I can use on my blog

Would you be interested in my sunset? The image has been resized for quick uploading to the Forum, so let me know if you'd like to use it and I'll upload the bigger picture.

    SJDPP

I wouldn't recommend staying an extra day in SJPDP, but that's my own opinion of course. I arrived there at 9 in the morning and I found out that the route over the Pyrenees was closed. I HAD to go over, so I waited for an entire day in St. Jean. This was one of my worst days on the Camino...

    Bayonne to St. Jean train

Make sure that you get there in time though! When I arrived there around 9, the first train to SJPDP was leaving the next morning, so I had to get a hotel and spend the night there :( .

Cost Estimates for the Camino Frances

My cheapest day on the Camino was €8,70 :D But my average was €15,- to €20,- a day.

Bayonne to SJPdP via TER line 62 in June 2013

Thanks for the update! Luckily I'll be taking that train on the 1st of June. :)

    7 more sleeps!!!

I know how you feel... Because I'm also starting in exactly 1 week!!! Apart from my journey by train and the first night in an albergue in SJPDP, I didn't make any plans. I don't know which towns I'll be visiting, I don't know where I'll stop walking (although I expect to stop in Fisterra) and...

    One more week

9 Nights before I finally begin! As always, I am 100% ready and there's nothing left to do but wait. Good luck on your Camino! Who knows where our paths might cross. :D
