Are you saying that you have two reservations in Santiago and that you have no idea whether you will use them?
Perhaps, if a few hundred others have done the same the fact that Santiago is “booked out” is explained
We actually walked from just outside of Biarritz to the above town and then onto Irun , along the water they said….was hard as accomodation was scarce.

I think the real issue here is that the Camino is a new experience for many people. It is not the usual way that a lot of people travel any more coming from overseas. Here in the US, I always have a reservation somewhere when I am traveling. Also...
