Perhaps a relevant note: I do a lot of timed endurance walks. The advertised distance is often 13.1 miles - approximately 21 km. But that measurement assumes that the competitor always takes the shortest distance at every point on the course...

Hello everyone! Sorry to shout, but these are exciting times. I have started this thread to serve as a point of conversation for the Camino Guides Beta that was launched last month. Since I have been kicking the tires so to speak and searching...

"Oddball" can mean strange or peculiar, not necessarily just quirky. And it's possible for someone to be both odd and potentially dangerous, like in the case of the flasher. So, multiple aspects of a situation can be true simultaneously...

I have not yet walked from Geneva. I LOVE the LePuy route. Some of my favorite things are starting my journey at the cathedral in Le Puy after the morning mass, and walking into SJPdP, ending with mass in the cathedral. Those beginning and...

Hi Chrissy and Elise, Tough choice, and I wouldn’t discount the possibility that once you are already there, you will decide you really don’t want to stop walking and will continue on to the other place! A few scattered thoughts Muxia is less...

Dear Rhys, look what you started ! lol I also loved the meseta. It was in Sept (and hot) but I would never skip it… especially in spring. I hear there are many wildflowers but I haven’t experienced it myself. And I’d never skip Burgos. You don’t...

Consider referring to the Michelin guide -- I believe there are some along the Le Puy. I don't recall a bad meal along that route.
