Perhaps a relevant note: I do a lot of timed endurance walks. The advertised distance is often 13.1 miles - approximately 21 km. But that measurement assumes that the competitor always takes the shortest distance at every point on the course... -

"Oddball" can mean strange or peculiar, not necessarily just quirky. And it's possible for someone to be both odd and potentially dangerous, like in the case of the flasher. So, multiple aspects of a situation can be true simultaneously...

The new parador in Muxia is stunning and was the perfect way to end our walk last Fall. However, we did take a cab to Fisterre for a day and overnight to walk up to the lighthouse and see the “end of the earth.”
