I’m 5’1, short torso and I finally settled on a Mystery Ranch Scree 32L backpack from REI a few years ago. I have used it on two caminos. It’s from a company in Montana that for many years has specialized in military gear and Mystery Ranch is their consumer line. I struggled with the Osprey...
Just finished the stage from Betanzos to Hospital Bruma on Camino Inglés. We took two days as we have been enjoying an extended Inglés. I often consult Gronze to get basic info about a route as well as others and usually find it helpful. Yesterday we took the alternative route as recommended by...

Great that you are going for it. I know for my friend it has become a very important goal and I am happy to help her realize it. We’re departing Ferrol June 1–maybe we’ll see you along the way. Ultreia!
I am walking the Ingles in June with a friend who needs shorter stages due to a bit of nerve damage in her leg. We landed on the same itinerary as you though without bag transport. Nice to know we won’t be the only ones enjoying a “longer” camino.
My husband and I walked the first half of the Norte last year. We found all the coastal alternatives on the Mapy.cz app. The alternatives between Zumaia and Deba are fabulous.
I was considering the Invierno to do with a friend of mine that has some physical constraints...I'm curious as to what makes it more strenuous than the CF.

We are currently in Nojas, 10 days in. Periodic rain, nothing heavy, for the past 3 days. It was warm in San Sebastian (85 F) but otherwise mostly 60s. Feeling blessed!
We are staying in private accomodations, booked ahead, so can’t comment on availability otherwise or business of albuerges...
Dave, thanks for all your great advice. I always read your posts to see what I can learn.
My torso length was measured at home per the instructions you cited in the previous post using a cloth measuring tape. I am confident that the torso measurement is correct. However, I have had it measured...
This post is for the shorties out there…I just got a Gossmer Gorilla on Saturday and will be returning it today. The specs say a small will fit torsos from 11 to 17 inches. My torso is only 14 and the pack did not come close to fitting. Meanwhile, I went to REI and got a perfect fitting Mystery...
I pack a super lightweight yoga mat (235g). I'm small so I was able to cut it down a few inches to save on weight. It's so light that it's not a great mat, but good enough to encourage me to get on the floor and do a few yoga poses and stretches after walking every day.
I started out with a...
