Used mine on all my caminos. Love that thing. But your lower legs and feet will get wet. I can live with that, since i generally walk in spring. For colder/wetter seasons it might not be optimal.
Well, we ended up having a strange but enjoyable camino. Our original plan was to walk the last half of the Frances, from Sahagun to Santiago. We walked as far as Astorga and then took a bus to Ponferrada to avoid bad weather in the mountains...
We've used them quite a lot. They are great. Extremely light weight, easy on and off, keep our legs dry except, as mentioned above, ankles and feet. So much easier and lighter than rain pants.
