Hi Helen, that's soooo exciting! i hope you have a fab camino:) i am starting the Norte in a couple of months (cant wait) - i was wondering if i could ask a couple of questions please? are you travelling alone, if so any problems - or all ok? what book/guide have you found to use? i seem to be finding references to quite a few - so i suppose i am being lazy by asking if someone else has done the research.
and i'll pass on the advice i have been given - enjoy the experience, the people you meet, and keep a jar of vaseline- you never know.

buen camino woohooo!

Hi Fionaff, we have decided to use this guidebook http://www.cicerone.co.uk/9781852847944.cfm#.VyUAvTCLS00 . Last year we did Camino VdlP and earlyer this spring we did a part of Chemin de Arles. For the first time I also have decided to download an app for Norte and for Primitivo, mayby it will be useful, we´ll se :) I walk with my wife but a lot of people make there caminos on there own. That is not a problem. You will meet other people if you want.
The Camino take care of you.

Take care

Hello Hellen,
We'll be arriving in Irun on monday and will start on tuesday from Hondarriba. We'll keep our eyes open, depending on speed we might join you around Bilbao?
The weather the first week will be great!

Bon camino,
Gerald

I use Alltrails a lot here in the US, in Iceland, on the Via Podiensis and a bit on the CF. Will it be useful on the Norte? For example, people here say the "warm up" from Biarritz to Irun (or...

Tomorrow I fly to Bilbao to start my 5th stint on the Camino. I did the Frances in three parts (2016, 2017 and 2022). Last year I did the Portuguese from Porto. I did the first 200 km of the...
I thought I had this all figured out, but I have ended up with 2 train tickets from San Sebastian (I don't even know if it's the airport or the town) to Irun, instead of ONE that goes all the way...
Hi! I’m a Camino newbie planning on walking Camino del Norte this May-June. I have previous hiking experience and do well on longer distances and so on, but not any super recent multi day long...
I’m on day 2 of the CDN and I’m just blown away by the views. Day 1 Irun to San Sebastián, day 2 San Sebastián to Askizu Buen Camino
