There are a few route changes and alternatives that our eBook now includes, as well as the inevitable coming and going of various accommodations and eateries. However, all-in-all, this very traditional and historic route has seen the fewest changes in recent times.
Updated in 5/2023, this is our guide from the Pilgrimage Traveler website, in a downloadable PDF format to use offline on your Central Route of the Camino Portugués. Not much has changed in the route over the past year, but accomodations and eateries have come and gone! You can preview the content of the ebook by going to the Pilgrimage Traveler, Camino Portugués website. The ebook contains all the information you need to know, including accommodation, maps from our GPS tracks and must-see historical sights along the way.
There are few changes on this classic route in the past year. The changes are mostly accommodations that have come and gone. I have fixed broken links and clarified some information, generally improving the eBook overall.
Despite the pandemic, I have been successful in compiling new information, including confirmation of any changes in the route, permanent closures (sadly) of accommodations and places to eat, historic site additions, and a cleaner, more streamlined look.
