    A woman walking alone

I'll be setting out again in September - I'm 75. I only set out with someone once--other times on my own. One time I was sitting with 4 other Pilgrims enjoying a beer by the time I reached tie train station Bayonne. We never met before but saw each other off and on through the Camino. Last...

    Newbie here

Last time (bad knee & back) I booked Orrison and Roncevalles ahead. I saw quite a few people arriving at Roncevalles late afternoon & it was full - including their extra space camping area. One fellow reportedly slept in Church and several others got together & took a taxi to the next town. So...

LIVE from the Camino It’s Hot!

Always had some gatorade in my pack. Learned a tip one hot end of May while walking the Ottawa Half-Marathon: a smallish sponge full of water placed on top of head in hat. A little push down on top of hat gives some pleasant relief! ---)

Have you practiced, or received a random act of kindness on your pilgrimage?

CF one day I walked too fast uphill. Being very susceptible to the heat I discretely retired to the bushes and puked ( is there a nicer word??) as quietly as possible. A young pilgrim came over to me. He made me sit down at the trail edge and put my head down. He then poured most of a bottle...
