I also walked Porto - SdC - Finisterre - Muxia , the last two towns maybe the best part. Afterwards on my way back to Porto , I stayed in Braga for a weekend , what a gem !

I agree with Albertinho , after Ponte da Lima a visit to Braga is a wonderful idea. I spent a weekend there after finishing in Finisterre., most enjoyable.

To avoid that industrial part coming in to Porrino there is a beautiful alternative route where you come to a T junction at a cafe/bar. Take the left turn.
