I've just seen that the pilgrims house, where I was going to get poles tomorrow is closed on Sundays. Has anyone got any suggestions? We are staying at the monesterio on Sunday night. Planned walking earlyish Monday morning

I am doing the fisterra from santiago with a small group of people, some first time pilgrims. Is there a place in santiago where people donate their walking poles that my friend can buy to use, then donate back?

Buy some very light dry bags, like sea to summit, then you can squeeze air out. I use 3 color coded
Take safety pins on back of pack for drying socks
Use a liquid Deodorant and put in tiny bottle, it's amazing how far it goes, try...
Personally, I take a light plastic tourist poncho, and buy a big umbrella 🌂 if I need it. Love these spanish umbrellas, big enough to cover the rucsac too
Also FYI, currently in dona mencia where the albergue, although still seems actually physical there, we passed it, nobody has keys or info on how to access it since covid. In a very basic pension for night
