Thank you. I visited Lugo several years ago when we were in Portomarin on the Frances. My friend had vision issues and we were advised to go to the hospital in Lugo, so off we went. We didn't get to sightsee though but I'm planning on another Frances camino down the road and I'll be sure to see...

Where to go with 2 extra days, near Santiago.

Hello, so my plans have slightly changed after completing the Coastal Portuguese and Finisterre/Muxia caminos on June 13. I now have 2 extra days in Santiago and was wondering where I should head to after already having spent 2 nights in SdC. I fly out of SdC so will have to return here. I was...

Portuguese Coastal book or not book?

We are walking the coastal at the end of May and decided to go ahead and book most nights as there are 3 of us. We have the option to cancel as several were through booking com, so are still somewhat flexible. The only place so far we have to wing it is in Armenteira, as the monastery isn't...

    Scam & booking.com

Same thing just last week but fortunately for me I had heard of this happening so I didn't fall for it. I sent booking, com the info as well as the hotel I booked at. Makes me mad that these things happen so often these days. Be vigilant all.

Any suggestions for a technical shirt with the performance of Merino but without the drawbacks?

I found the same thing regarding Icebreaker standing by their quality. I wrote to them about several fairly new underwear with holes in them and they refused any return as I didn't have the receipt. I would not have thought to keep it as I never thought I'd need to return them, but at that price...

    Minimal but comforting packing list

I also do the, wear one and pack 2, as I've lost a few pieces of clothing along my last camino, the VDLP, whether by forgetting them or ?? One I was upset about was a smarwool bra that was not cheap. So I'm glad I had brought 2 of those!

    Osprey 38 Eja backpack

What pack did they send you? I just bought the Osprey Viva 45 as I'm doing the camino and the TMB, and the salesperson said that Osprey is getting away from the mesh pockets as they don't last. It doesn't come with a front pocket, which I'm not sure I like, but has 2 large side pockets not made...

    25% off Interrail Passes

That's great news as I will be flying into Lyon, and going to travel to various areas, including the coastal Portuguese, the Tour du Mont Blanc, and visiting relatives in Slovakia. I was debating where my starting point should be as I'm flying in from Vancouver, Canada, but thought more central...

You can invite a companion on Camino, but you can't make them walk (in preparation)!

That seems like way too much food or snacks for 1 day. I go on multi day backpacking trips and my food total for 4 days is 6 - 7kg, not counting water
