I hope you have a wonderful Chemin. We started in Arles and walked to Montpellier. Due to a bad bout of bronchitis and me being unable to walk till I recovered, we caught the train to Toulouse and stayed there 3 nights recuperating before continuing. After the walk through Toulouse’s suburbs the...
I walked the Camino Frances with my husband and 4 friends in 2007. There was less paving and less accommodation along the way. Also, not as many people walking.
We will be in Le Puy on 24th April and will start walking on 26th. We will commemorate Anzac Day.Join us if you're there then. Hopefully, we'll see you along the way. We are 4 slowish walkers so you'll probably zoom past us.

Hi Jennifer,
It was great weather all the way in September and October. We only had difficulty with accommodation once and that was in Zubiri. We walked on and found a beautiful hotel to sleep in. A bit extravagant but worth every cent that day. There was never a problem. You will always find...
Jennifer, in 2007 we walked from SJPDP starting on September 1st. It was a glorious 2 days walk till we arrived in Ronscevalles. Sunny all the way. However, people coming over a couple of days later, found it to be foggy and rainy.
Have a great time no matter what the weather.

Stayed at Hostal Levante in the Barri-Gotic area. About 60 euros for a double. Between the Cathedral and La Rambla. An easy walk to the station or bus stop at Placa Catalunya.

Hi Shawn.
Hope you have a great camino with Di. We have walked 2 caminos in September and the weather was perfect. As for those gum trees...you will see many as you get closer to Santiago. It will make you feel like you're at home. Well, almost!

Hi Terry.
As you are from Oz, I think you would enjoy starting from St Jean Pied de Port and crossing the Pyrenees. It is spectacular. You could walk most of the way, if you are fit enough, in your time limit. Or you could catch a bus from Burgos to Leon to cut down on time.
We walked from SJPDP...
