I am a Canadian leaving in less than two weeks. Would love to hear from fellow Canucks who have recently walked about ATM experiences. I am only comfortable with 200-300 euros on me at one time. Credit cards can be cancelled and replaced if lost or stolen....once cash is gone...it's GONE...
Did you have any trouble finding atm machines and were you able to use a bank card or was it a credit card? I'm Canadian and heading over in less than two weeks.

Forgot to mention this: I watched a video recently...the gentleman was explaining about packing his "pack". His came with a large "sac" that he could put the pack in. He put all his extra stuff in with the pack and put it through as checked baggage. I'm guessing things such as walking poles...

I am planning to walk end of June to end of July. I have already bought my shoes (hikers) and pack and getting poles soon. I'm going to start hiking the provincial parks and anything else I can NOW to see how well I can get used to the weight of a pack and see how my shoes and socks fair out...
