I have walked the Camino many times and never drank the fountain water, not a smugness just careful always drank inexpensive bottled water.
Never had a stomach problem except its too big 😟 does that count.
No this was a climb with seating halfway there was a cafe before climb, some recommended stopping before climb at cafe,
I did walk it was easy enough just can't remember location of climb.Checked Gronze maybe Alto de Mar. ??.
Walked to San Martin not a nice place to stop on way can you make it a bit further to Hospital de Orbigo about 5 kms further along the way.
My opinion not shared by others so please forum don't say how wonderful San Martin it was to me the worst stop on way.

While the professional trekker like yourself may not have a problem with the Camino many ordinary walkers, pilgrims, would find footing difficult ie.. dangerous to their wellbeing.
This is not a simple hike but a journey of discovery and capabilities for some.
